We’re excited to introduce The Goop, a revolutionary new product from The SoilSmiths. The Goop is a premium compost extract, designed to make boosting soil biology effortless for organic growers. Produced with expertise in composting, this ready-to-use concentrated liquid is packed with beneficial soil microbes, fungi, and nematodes—delivered with precise data for every batch.

Each batch of The Goop is tested via biological soil microscopy, ensuring you get verified counts of fungi and nematodes, two essential components often lacking in living soil. Alongside these, the ultra-thick liquid also contains a variety of beneficial bacteria and protozoa. Every bottle includes a batch number and report showing microbial counts, so you know exactly what you’re adding to your soil.

Unlike typical compost extracts, The Goop is refined and filtered to provide a smooth, consistent liquid, free from big particles and larger organisms found in compost such as woodlice, but retaining valuable players such as springtails, mites, and sometimes even tiny worms. The Goop goes beyond being a simple soil food web product; it’s the only one of its kind on the market today.

Why The Goop Stands Out

• Easy Application: Making compost extracts can be time-consuming, but The Goop makes it easy. Just dilute in dechlorinated water, stir, and apply. No need for brewing or filtering.
  
• High Microbial Density: The Goop contains 2–4 times the microbial density of our Bio-Blend compost by weight, with minimum fungal counts of 500 micrograms per ml and 500 nematodes per ml—though counts are more often higher.

How to Use The Goop

Indoor Living Soil Pots & Beds: Dilute 100 ml of The Goop per 5 litres of dechlorinated water. Apply evenly across the pots or beds for each square metre of your growing area.

For best results, use every two weeks. Even if you apply The Goop only once or twice per grow cycle - once in the early vegetative stage and again in early to mid-flower - you’ll see benefits.

Keep The Goop refrigerated for up to 12 weeks, stirring it occasionally to maintain oxygen levels for the microbes.

After application, ensure your soil is maintained at a good moisture level to support microbial activity, avoiding dry backs and over-watering.

Compost Piles & Worm Bins: Use 200 ml of The Goop per 1,000–2,000 litres of compost materials to accelerate decomposition and boost microbial activity.

Outdoor Soil: Dilute 5 ml per litre of dechlorinated water and apply 500 ml–1 litre of the solution per square metre. Best applied to moist soil during the active growing season. Maintain a good moisture level after application.

Health & Safety

As The Goop is a living biological product, it's important to handle it with care. Always wash your hands after use and avoid contact with eyes or ingestion. If it comes into contact with your skin or eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.
