Grassroots Bottomless Pots

Plant a new cutting or seedling in the bottomless pot and use a plastic saucer or tray to contain the potting soil. When the rooted plant has filled the pot with roots, the plant is simply placed on top of a living soil bed for the life of the plant.

After harvest is complete, you leave the old pot and place the next plant right next to the first. When the old root system is gone, you can remove the old bottomless pot and re-plant it in the original location.
