Important information before purchasing

The Terraform 9 is a powerful all-in-one climate-control unit designed primarily for heating and cooling, with dehumidification available through Dry mode.

Because of the way the Terraform moves air, the standard heating, cooling and fan configuration supplies conditioned air into the grow space. This can create positive pressure inside the tent, particularly in smaller spaces such as 1.2x1.2m (4×4') and 1.5x1.5m (5×5') tents. The tent can inflate, and air may be pushed out through passive vents or other openings, which is something to consider if odour control is important.

For most grow-tent installations, we recommend using the Terraform 9 in a lung room. The Terraform conditions the surrounding room, while the tent draws air from that space. This provides the unit with a larger volume of air to work with and avoids directly pressurising the tent.

If you are using the Terraform to supply conditioned air directly into the tent, your extraction and filtration setup should be suitable for managing the additional air being introduced.

Ducting and Dry mode

The standard ducting arrangement allows the Terraform to automatically manage heating, cooling and fan operation without changing the setup.

Dry mode is different. Dehumidification requires a different airflow configuration, so the ducting may need to be changed depending on how you intend to use the unit. It isn't a system where one fixed duct arrangement can automatically provide heating, cooling and targeted dehumidification in every setup.

This is particularly important when planning to use the Terraform in a smaller grow tent, where space and ducting options are more limited.

The Terraform 9 can also be installed within a suitable grow space, which removes the positive-pressure issue, but its size and output mean this is mostly suited to larger grow tents.

The Terraform 9 is a large and heavy piece of equipment, so please consider the available space, ducting requirements and how you intend to install the unit before purchasing. Returns due to suitability can also involve significant courier costs because of the size and weight of the equipment (32kg).
